Body Care Deli, Fresh Organic Skin Care

By Lynn N. Capri

In an era where packaging and chemicals often overshadow the quality and safety of products that we use on and in our bodies, Body Care Deli is a breath of fresh air, believing in minimal packaging and focusing on the freshness and purity of its ingredients, using organic elements whenever possible. So where did the idea ~ and the name ~ for “Body Care Deli” come from? Founder Theresia Andrews-Maas recalls, “About 15 years ago I stumbled on a little recipe booklet for skin care in a health food store in California. I leafed through it and my heart leapt. It was a defining moment for me. I instantly realized how making my own skin care products would bring me joy and satisfaction. As I had always enjoyed cooking good food for family and friends, I saw that creating fresh food for the skin was something I would enjoy equally.”

Body Care Deli does not use parabens, synthetic preservatives, mineral oils, artificial fragrances or colorings. Their hand cream, lotions and baby products do not contain phthalates as they believe that natural ingredients are superior to today’s chemical concoctions. All products are freshly made and each and every ingredient used is listed clearly on the packaging. Says Andrews-Maas, “I believe that Mother Nature has given us everything we need in order to care for our skin.”

The Body Care Deli line is created from active, natural ingredients including pure rose cream, red clover, red thyme, organic rose water, organic Rose Bulgarian essential oil, and marine collagen ~ and although all the products smooth, nourish, and enhance the skin, there are several that Andrews-Mass recommends in particular for drier, more mature skin in the form of a daily routine. You can find out more about each product, its ingredients, and its benefits at thebodycaredeli.com, where you can also order from the full Body Care Deli line.

Says Andrews-Maas, “We hope that you will enjoy the quality, purity and freshness of our products!”
