Antinori Wines

By Rick Garner

The Antinori family has been making fine wines for over 600 years and is one of only a handful of families who can claim such a distinction.  Twenty six generations of Antinoris have not only mastered the craft of winemaking but have also elevated it to an art through continuous innovation and visionary perspective. Piero Antinori, president of Marchesi Antinori, alongside his three daughters operate the family-owned business with a combination of modern innovation and tradition.  Marchesi Antinori continues to experiment on its vineyards and at its wineries using a selection of native, old traditional and international grape varieties, with various cultivation methods, maintaining the vineyards at many different altitudes.

The Antinori and Tormaresca wines have an interesting complexity, character and a savory palate. Marchesi Antinori is truly an innovator combining both old world and modern wine making techniques and continues to do so, with elegance and finesse.
